The Best Value Men’s Fragrances under 70$

Hello and Welcome to, today we are going to tell you the best budget men’s fragrances.

Today my friends we are going to talk about something a little different, its about smelling good, simply because looking good just won’t be enough (Don’t worry you are still pretty), but fragrances are something people often waste a lot of money and in some cases, time on.

Don’t worry though guys, , I have you covered, I did the work for you. I’ve found the best men’s fragrance’s you can buy on a budget. These are all also fragrances with high longevity and 6-7hr + performance.

These are fragrances that are safe to blind buy and aren’t incredibly polarizing, I will still surprise you with some on this list.

Now when we speak of value of a cologne, these are my criteria for evaluation, how good is the scent ? how long does it last ? how much does it cost ? All these colognes match all 3 criteria and I am writing up a list that offers the best mix of all 3.

Next time, you can’t figure out what decision to make, you’ll always have this excellent list to guide you to the best buying decision.

This list is in descending order as always so read to the bottom and you will strike gold, reference this article and you’ll never have to worry about this subject again.

By the way, all these are available on Fragrancex, and they are a great, reliable website for fragrances. They also have the most offerings of any fragrance website I personally buy most of my fragrances from FragranceX, check them out over here –

Let’s get started with the list now

10. Cool Water by Davidoff

This is the starter kit of fragrances, you will find this in every list. It is one of the most sold fragrances of all time and chances are you have either had this before or smelt it before. But it is still a great aquatic fresh summer fragrance and it gets you compliments. This is something that you must have and keep in your collection, also since it’s so cheap you can spray a ton of it. Performance is decent, I get 6-7 hours on my skin and most people I know get 5-6 hours at least on this. Projection is good especially for an aquatic fragrance. Also you can get a 200 ml edt for 30 $.

Price – 30 $ for 200 ml edt

Top Notes – Sea water, Lavender, Mint, Green Notes, Rosemary, Calone and Coriander

Middle Notes – Sandalwood, Geranium, Neroli and Jasmine

Base Notes – Musk, Tobacco, Oakmoss, Cedar and Amber.

9. Visit by Azzaro

This is a very old favorite of mine. I currently own about 2-3 of these just because it’s so cheap and so good. If you are a fan of woody fragrances, this one is for you. There is a catch to this though, it is a winter fragrance and is not great in summer. The performance on this is incredible though, the longevity 7-8 hours and solid projection for most of that time. I sprayed it on my neck one evening at 6:30 pm and could smell it on me the next morning at 8:30 am. So it can give you freak performance. The projection is good for the first 5-6 hours and then tapers off a bit but as I said I can still smell it on me the next day.

Price – 24 $ for 100 ml edt

Top Notes – Nutmeg, Cardamon, Pink Pepper, Ginger.

Middle Notes – Lebanese Cedar, Guaiac wood, incense

Base Notes – Musk, Ambergris

8. Pour Homme by Azzaro

This is another old favorite from Azzaro. It’s something I have bought multiple times. It’s a take on a barbershop fragrance, a classic aromatic fougere. A barbershop fragrance for those of you who aren’t familiar with them is a clean, sharp fragrance that bears similarity to fresh masculine fragrances. The good thing about Azzaro Pour homme is its quality and it’s price tag, 36 $ for 100 ml edt, you can’t beat that.

Price – 36 $ for 100 ml edt

Top Notes – Anise, Lavender, Lemon, Caraway, Basil, Bergamot, Clary Sage and iris

Middle Notes – Vetiver, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Cedar, Juniper Berries and Cardamom

Base Notes – Oakmoss, Leather, Amber, Musk and Tonka Bean

7. Bentley Intense for Men By Bentley

This is arguably the best performer in this list in terms of projection and longevity. This is a fragrance that will enter a room before you and linger on for a while after you leave. It’s pretty ridiculous actually. The problem with this fragrance is that it isn’t for everybody. It’s a loud hyper masculine fragrance with some leather notes in there too. But it’s cheap and incredible value at the price, especially for an EDP.

Price – 34 $ for 100 ml EDP

Top Notes – Black Pepper, Bay Leaf and Bergamot

Middle Notes – Rum, Wood, Cinnamon, Clary Sage and African Geranium

Base Notes – Incense, Leather, Benzoin, Patchouli and Cedar

6. Brit Rhythm Intense By Burberry

Burberry has had a little bit of a bad rep in the fragrance community for making largely forgettable fragrances but they do make some great fragrances and there are a few that I have bought multiple times. This one will be a repeat purchase, This is a leather fragrance for men, so it is pretty strong and quite masculine with some sweetness. This is another Winter Fragrance that is better in cold weather. Performance is great though, I get 7-8 hours with 4 hours of strong projection. This is worth buying

Price – 34 $ for 90ml edt

Top Notes – Pepper, Raspberry, Fig, Sage, Wormwood, Cumin and Bergamot

Middle Notes – Mint, Amber, Lavender, Patchouli and Basil

Base Notes – Leather, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Guaiac Wood, Cashmere Wood, Coumarin and Sandalwood.

5. Boss Bottled Intense Eau de Parfum by Hugo Boss

A very popular fragrance, arguably Hugo Boss’s best seller is Hugo Boss Bottled, but the original boss bottled has performance issues after a reformulation. Hence, they came out with an Intense version and an EDP for great performance. The EDP is the strongest performer of the lineup. This is a strong woody spicy fragrance that has some fresh notes. It is however, mostly a fall winter fragrance. It will start to get incredibly sweet if you wear it in summer, I personally like it after it gets sweet too, but some people might find it cloying. But this is a must buy, it is also a great starter if you want to get into the woody spicy type of fragrances.

Price – 41 $ for 100 ml EDP

Top Notes – Apple, Orange Blossom

Middle Notes – Cinnamon, Cloves and Geranium

Base Notes – Vanilla, Sandalwood, Cedar and Vetiver

4. L’Homme by Prada

This will be controversial to most people in the fragrance community as this deserves to be higher on this list. It is one of the best fragrances on the market. It is a great, clean fragrance. The reason this is 4th on this list, it is because it exceeds the budget of 70 $, with 100 ml edt tester bottles coming in at 69$ and other bottles coming in at 81$. This is still a masterpiece of a fragrance. It also offers great performance of 8 hours and more. It is a worth every penny of the 81 $ price tag. It will be one of those fragrances that collectors will keep searching for if it ever gets discontinued. A must buy.

Price – 81 $ for 100 ml edt

Top Notes – Neroli, Black Pepper, Cardamom and Carrot Seeds

Middle Notes – iris, Violet, Geranium and Mate

Base Notes – Amber, Cedar, Patchouli and Sandalwood.

3. Eros by Versace

I personally love Versace Eros. It’s a great fragrance. I loved it the moment I sniffed it for the first time. It has that wow factor that we all look for in a cologne. I will be buying this fragrance till the day they discontinue it and then some. It is one of my favorites and I love it every time I wear it. It can compete with far more expensive fragrances then its price range. This one is a very safe blind buy and a very good blind buy. It is expensive at most retailers but you can get one online for 70$ and it’s worth arguably twice that. This has been reformulated and is no longer the performer it once was and it loses points for that though. Performance is still really good though to at 7 hours longevity with about 4 hours projection.

Price – 70 $ for 100ml edt

Top Notes – Mint, Green Apple and Lemon

Middle Notes – Tonka Bean, Ambroxan and Geranium

Base Notes – Madagascar Vanilla, Virginian Cedar, Atlas Cedar, Vetiver and Oakmoss.

2. L’Homme Ideal by Guerlain

The first time I smelt L’Homme Ideal, I bought it. This is a no brainer. It has that wow factor right from the opening and it only gets better. I would classify this and Dior Homme Intense as probably the best Woody scents on the market. It’s a complex scent and changes character every so often. The performance is also ,no pun intended, ideal. I would get 7-8 hours on my skin and solid projection for 5 hours at least. This is also a complement magnet and a conversation starter, it might get you a few phone numbers even. At 58$ for 100 ml edt, it’s straight up theft, I would charge people double that for the kind of value this provides.

Price – 58 $ for 100ml edt

Top Notes – Citrus, Orange Blossom, Rosemary and Bitter Orange

Middle Notes – Almond and Tonka Bean

Base Notes – Leather, Vetiver and Cedar.

1. Dylan Blue by Versace

The Versace Dylan Blue is the best combination of scent, price and performance on this list. It’s not the best scent or the cheapest scent but its refined and it performs incredibly. It’s top of this list because of it’s performance, its complexity and it’s versatility, this one can be worn all year to any place and at any time. It’s the best aquatic fragrance in my opinion. I get 8-10+ hrs on my skin and 6 hours of projection and that’s a conservative estimate. Go ahead and buy it and don’t think twice

Price – 64 $ for 100 ml edt

Top Notes – Calabrian bergamot, Grapefruit, Water Notes and Fig Leaf

Middle Notes – Ambroxan, Patchouli, Black Pepper, Violet Leaf and Papyrus

Base Notes – Incense, Musk, Tonka Bean and Saffron
